About best time to hike
Hello Guys,
Only if you really think about the Blue Mountains?! We have more detailed information about Hunter Valley wine tours
Something in Blue Mountains National Park that gets into your blood. Could be the eucalyptus trees throwing a blue haze across the ridges, or the cliffs glowing gold at sunset while the cockatoos chatter their evening news. Whatever it is, each time I drive out from Sydney, I remember exactly why it’s one of the most breathtaking places in Australia.
I’ve spent years guiding groups across this area — from Echo Point’s lookouts to Jenolan Caves and the Megalong Valley — and believe me, the you can’t do the Blue Mountains justice in just a day. It’s where city stress just melts away, a vast amphitheatre of towering cliffs, cascading falls and eucalyptus aroma.
Just 90 minutes from Circular Quay via the Great Western Highway, the Blue Mountains National Park is part of the UNESCO-listed Greater Blue Mountains region, a conservation area spanning more than a million hectares that extends as far as Wollemi National Park. It’s a patchwork of steep gorges, rainforests and eucalypt forests home to over 400 species of Australian animals, including curious wallabies, shy dingoes and the famous lyrebird.
